Process:
1. Check the legal papers:
Registrar of Department of Justice checks the legal papers.
2. Write into the civil status book and issue the original of new the civil status paper or certificate of taking notes.
After checking the legal, registrar of Department of Justice writes into the civil status book. In details:
+ The birth is written into Birth registration book;
+ The marriage is written into Marriage registration book;
+ Identifying father, mother, child is written into registration book of registering identifying father, mother, child;
When write in the civil status book, must write according to the content of the civil status papers presented by the person concerned; for the contents in the civil status book doesn’t include in the civil status papers, write nothing, for the contents in the civil status papers doesn’t include in the civil status book, write in the column of notes of the civil status book.
For the civil status papers of Vietnamese citizen from abroad returning Vietnam to reside permanently, after taking notes in the civil status book, Director of Department of Justice signs and issues the new civil status papers to the person concerned. The book of writing the civil status events is the basis for issuing the copy of the civil status papers later.
For recognizing the marriage; identifying father, mother, child, after taking notes in the civil status book, Director of Department of Justice signs and issues certificate of the notes to the person concerned.
Method: Submit directly dossier in Justice Department or can authorize the third person to submit dossier.
Content of Dossier: The original or the copy of Birth certificate
