Standing Deputy Minister of Justice Hoang The Lien on July 27 had a courtesy meeting with Mr. Borisov Vladimir Moskov - Deputy Chief of Mission at the Bulgarian Embassy to Vietnam on completing his working term in Vietnam.

Under  the authorization of Socialist Republic of Vietnam’s President and permission from the Prime Minister, from 11 to 15 July 2011, in Madrid, Spain, interdisciplinary negotiating delegation including members from the Office of the President, the Supreme People's Procuracy, the Supreme People’s Court, the Ministries of Justice, Foreign Affairs and Public Security led by Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Anh, Director of Legal Affairs Department under Ministry of Public Security,  conducted the first round of negotiation  of conventions on extradition and on the transfer of sentenced persons between the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Kingdom of Spain.

Minister Ha Hung Cuong on July 11 received Mr. Christophe Bahuet, outgoing UNDP Deputy Country Director in Vietnam, on the occasion of ending his tenure.

In order to enhance development of cooperation in economy, trade and investment between Vietnam and Kazakhstan, in the official visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan in mid-September 2009, the leaders of two Governments and two Ministers of Justice had consented to a need of creating common legal frameworks, including negotiation and conclusion of Mutual Judicial Assistance Agreement in Civil Matters between two countries.

In two days (June 27 – 28), Vietnam’s Ministry of Justice coordinated with Lao Ministry of Justice to organize the justice meeting of Vietnamese and Lao border provinces in Sam Son, Thanh Hoa province.

Vietnam's Ministry of Justice and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) on June 14 formally launched the Project that will provide $11.7 million to support the Government of Vietnam for Legal Implementation for Economic Integration.
